| F3 technologies is pleased to announce the successful testing of FM SDK implementation on Garmin PND device. The test was conducted with the demo version of communication interface integrated with actual Garmin nuvi5000 device, on Friday, May 29, 2009. The tested version is now fully capable of communicating with server via Mobile terminal/ system and can easily send & receive information.
As per the predefined parameters of success, the communication interface on mobile terminal, received the coordinates and tracking data from Garmin nuvi5000 device and communicated to server over GPRS channel. Similarly, messages and cases’ locations from the server were correctly observed on Garmin nuvi5000 screen with acquiring response provisions. The solution will be used in AVL module of CareMonX CAD suite as an alternative of CarPC solution.
Speaking at the accomplishment, Mr. Abdul Basit Hamad (Lead, GIS Dept.) said that “Overall it was a compound effort of the GIS team, but Mr. Arshad Nisar (Senior Software Engineer) and Mr. Sadaf Mehmood (Software Engineer) played vital roles throughout. We would be enhancing this software further to cope fleet management competencies in order to retain our lead in the GIS field.”
